Can you drive a car to Daufuskie?:

Locals will barge a car over but not recommended for visitors. Rent a golf cart.

Water:

The Aquifer beneath Daufuskie is one of the best in the World ?. Drink the water ?.

Electricity:

No issue with the electrical

? We had hit and miss coverage

How did Daufuskie get it’s name?:

The name, Daufuskie, comes from the Muscogee language, meaning “sharp feather,” for the island’s distinctive shape

Wild life we experienced:

Lots of fish ?, Good bird ? watching, Turtles ?, armadillos, alligators ?
, deer ? & squirrels ?

Would we recommend?

Recommendations:

  1. Highly recommend all the water sports
  2. Swim, ? boat, and kayak, in the intercoastal or beach
  3. Grab fishing ? pole and catch supper
  4. Visit and buy from local artist ?‍?
  5. Hike or golf ?️‍♀️ cart around the island & explore
  6. Visit the historic museum
  7. Search for arrow heads, ancient pottery & shark teeth
  8. Rent bikes ?, however the dirty roads can be tough
  9. Enjoy lunch ? at Lucy Bells ? or Beach Club
  10. Join the locals at Free Port Marina for a drink ?
