Very little privacy and speed tables damaged our Jack. During the day one can hear airboats tours.

This is smoky and he tried to get us adopt him

Recommendations:

  • The park has a wave pool and swimming pool for overnight campers but very limited hours of operations. Closed while we we there
  • Kayaking or Canoeing: Bayou Segnette State Park is a perfect spot for kayaking or canoeing as it has several waterways and small lakes. You can rent a kayak or canoe from the park office and explore the park’s waterways at your leisure.
  • Fishing: Fishing is another popular activity at Bayou Segnette State Park. The park has several fishing spots, including the freshwater lagoon and Bayou Segnette itself, which is home to a variety of fish species, including redfish, speckled trout, and bass.
  • Hiking: Bayou Segnette State Park has several hiking trails that offer scenic views of the park’s wetlands and forests. The trails are easy to moderate and vary in length from 0.5 to 2 miles.
  • Camping: The park offers several camping options, including tent camping, RV camping, and cabins. Camping is an excellent way to experience the park’s natural beauty and wildlife.
